Life never stops on the farm…..it is a continuous cycle…..and we are very privileged to be able to live alongside to care for and nurture that cycle. From 2002 to 2009 we have leased a 7.76Ha smallholding at Orbost Estate, and also have had the use of a few fields elsewhere for the cows and pigs. 2011 sees the continuation of a new adventure as we have took on a 15 year tenancy of Orbost Estate Farm in 2010 to expand our smallholding production to the next level.
Orbost farm is 1690 Ha of mainly rough hill ground, and we plan to re-establish a balance within the hill ecosystem through the managed grazing of native breed animals. We feel very privileged to now be the guardians of this special place, for this moment in time, and will endeavour to care and nurture it for the generations to follow.
