In 2007, Dunvegan Community Trust held the Duncelt Festival on the Isle of Skye to commemorate the Highland Year of Culture. One of their commissioned works for the festival was a book of Dunvegan Memories.
This fascinating collection of memories goes beyond the normal historical facts, and delves right into the reality of life in and around Dunvegan as it was, is now, and perhaps will be in the future.
I interviewed an eclectic range of people spanning 7 to 91 years old. The resulting yarns, thoughts and impressions will leave you laughing, imagining, and most of all wishing to visit this magical place and create unforgettable memories of your own.
